HOPE

HOPE

In the dark dark fright

of the long long night

singing burden 

has taken its toll

on the rooster's crow

and the vital sign

is leaving the lantern's glow

A little more patience

                                         -for God's sake                                          

The breeze is gone 

climbing the mountain

to call the dawn
